Linda Nye

Linda Nye is a Contemporary Landscape Painter. She uses her craft illustrate the unique Australian Landscapes

Linda lives in the quaint township of Tenterfield, nestled in the New England Ranges. It provides her with endless inspiration with its granite boulder outcrops, cool winters and colourful Autumns

She is also fond of creating a storyline, of life on the land and stories of long forgotten people and the harsh landscapes they lived in.

Creating Art is Lindas passion and her love for painting started after completing a 2year Arts Foundation Certificate thru TAFE. She has been practising her craft for over 30 years using Oils and Acrylic.

Her paintings are not photographs, but creations that reflect the environment. She loves to experiment with colour and textures, which has developed her unique style.

Linda has exhibited extensively throughout the New England Area, and on a regular basis with The Borderline Regional Arts Group since 2002.

In 2013, Linda with 5 other Artists opened the Artists Collective Studio Gallery in Tenterfield.

This keeps her busy producing new works for exhibitions, her paintings are permanently on display, and she often found demonstrating her craft to the public.
