Most of my working career has been spent as an architect living and working in Victoria. I developed my artistic skills through involvement in architectural design and documentation. During that time, I was involved extensively in all aspects of amateur theatre, especially in design and construction of scenery and painting scenery backdrops for many theatrical productions.
When I moved to Armidale in 2013, I started a fortnightly story tent at the local Farmer’s market which I ran for five years, enlisting interested parents. I designed and made all the artistic materials and equipment necessary to present the stories – puppets, scenery, environment.
In 2008 I commenced the two-year full-time training course at the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner Seminar where I further developed my artistic skills. I then completed a Dip. Ed. and worked at the Armidale Waldorf school doing relief teaching for two years and I was involved in storytelling as well as teaching French, cello & recorder.
In 2019 I took off a year to study painting and drawing full time in a self-directed course exploring all aspects of art. After that I entered paintings in a number of exhibitions. This is my first solo exhibition.
I have just completed a two-year tour around the country presenting stories and workshops in Waldorf/Steiner schools in all states including a talk on Rudolf Steiner’s world view.
Armidale is on the Northern Tablelands of N.S.W. and there I pursue my interests in storytelling, music, anthroposophy and creating order out of chaos.
