Armidale Art Prize 2026

The Armidale Art Prize (AAP) is a standout event on the region’s cultural calendar, celebrated since 2009 as a premier showcase of artistic excellence.
This highly regarded exhibition brings together a dynamic mix of emerging and established artists, attracting visitors and art enthusiasts from across the country. Featuring 127 artworks by over 70 artists, the prize presents a rich and diverse snapshot of contemporary creative practice.
Renowned for its quality and variety, the exhibition highlights an inspiring range of expression across multiple mediums.
With total prize money of $5,950, artists present their latest works across four entry categories—Painting, Craft Art/Sculpture, Works on Paper, and Photography—competing for a variety of awards, including the Daphne Young Prize, the David Davies Impressionist Painting Prize, and the ever-popular People’s Choice Award.
