Day: Sunday 19 October
Cost: $110 / $95 NEAS Members (Payable on booking)
Time: 10am – 4pm
Spend a day immersed in creativity and community with Ingrid Riverstone from Bare Weaving.
Using natural materials in various natural colours we will be guided through the process of creating a basket using the technique of twin strand free weaving.
Ingrid Riverstone is an artist deeply rooted in nature and creativity.
“My upbringing, surrounded by bushland and a family-owned art supply store, shaped my connection to the natural world and diverse artistic mediums. Learning to create with minimal resources shaped my early years, yet in my search to thrive my journey led me to deep wisdom while connecting with the land and people of Rorruwuy in North East Arnhem Land.
As a single mother of five in a remote forest, this wisdom, combined with the tranquility of Tamban Forest has enriched my life.
BARE Riverstone, my current artistic endeavour, symbolises the harmonious place I’ve reached in my life journey.”
We would love you to join us! All materials supplied. Please bring a cushion for comfort as we will be sitting on the floor (there are chairs at the venue if this is uncomfortable for you).
