Time: 10am – 4pm
Spend a weekend immersed in creativity and community with Ingrid Riverstone from Bare Weaving.
Day 1: Enjoy the experience as you learn all about collecting, preparing and dyeing fibres to be used in the weaving process. No need to buy the raw materials when you know how to collect and prepare fibres from your local environment.
Day 2: Using pre-prepared and some of the materials processed on Day 1 you will be guided through the process of creating a basket using the technique of twin strand free weaving.
Ingrid Riverstone is an artist deeply rooted in nature and creativity.

Learning to create with minimal resources shaped my early years, yet in my search to thrive my journey led me to deep wisdom while connecting with the land and people of Rorruwuy in North East Arnhem Land.
As a single mother of five in a remote forest, this wisdom, combined with the tranquility of Tamban Forest has enriched my life.

We would love you to join us! All materials supplied.
Day 1 We will be outside in a local backyard so bring a hat and sunscreen and a cushion for comfort as we will be sitting on the ground (there are some chairs available if needed).
Day 2 We will gather in the Gallery Workshop space sitting on the floor or in the venue chairs.
