I started painting in watercolours when I moved to Armidale in 2022.

I find painting a mindful meditation and escape from a too-busy mind. I particularly enjoy painting with others at Kerry Gulliver’s art class.

I lean towards still life compositions, inspired by whatever’s lying around the house (or café!), but also turn my hand to bird life and the occasional landscape.

I enjoy the challenge of exploring what effects I can achieve with different techniques and colour palettes.

I find the New England art scene inspiring and enjoy the occasional shift manning the Armidale Art Gallery counter.
