Time: 9.30 to 4pm
In this inspiring weekend workshop, you’ll discover the art of mosaic while exploring creativity, colour, and sustainability. Learn how to transform a terracotta garden pot into a vibrant handmade masterpiece using beautiful upcycled materials and mosaic techniques.
For those who have attended before, this is an opportunity to branch out into an alternative 3D object such as a vase you’d like to upcycle or a birdbath.
Tess will guide you through the fundamentals of mosaic art — from designing your piece and cutting and shaping the materials, to assembling and gluing it all together.
Join in and be guided step by step as you grow your artistic skills and strengthen your ability to create beauty from materials being given a second chance. You’re welcome to bring along loved but broken ceramics, tiles, or keepsakes to incorporate into your design and make your piece even more personal.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a unique mosaic creation and the confidence to continue populating your home or garden with beautiful handmade objects.
Course Tutor: Tess Cullen has been creating beautiful mosaics for over 20 years. and enjoys teaching others the skills to create beauty out of reusable materials.
