Liz Powell is a mixed media artist living in Tenterfield.
She began her art career in Sydney after completing a 4 year Diploma with the National Art School on 1978.
Liz continued as an exhibitor and educator and moved to the North Coast of NSW and from there to the New England Tablelands.
Liz has taught and exhibited extensively around Australia and overseas. Liz says “Much of my work is concerned with history, science and the landscape using paper as a base line material.
Amongst other things I make paper from local plant fibres, do a lot of unconventional print making, construct 3D forms and make artists books.”
