Rochelle Slade

My business is pottery.

I am an independent Australian artist and I design high-quality pottery using different techniques, including hand-building and wheel-throwing bowls, cups, vases, jugs, plates, spoons, ornaments, jewellery, and mostly sculptural pieces, and one of my best sellers are my life-like ducks and chickens.

The main materials I use are stoneware, porcelain, earthenware and raku clay, and I will underglaze/glaze and decorate my work and some of my artworks using kintsugi, epoxy resin and other materials.

I work from my home studio and at the Armidale Pottery Club premises.

I really enjoy working with clay and sharing my knowledge in workshops.

In my workshops I share my passion, experiences, knowledge, and artistic abilities with people who want to learn new skills, have fun, laugh, enjoy and relax.

All my work is 100% hand-made using Australian clays, porcelain, earthenware, stoneware and raku clay.

Each one is slightly different to the other, meaning they are one-of a kind and limited editions.

There may be imperfections, and they might not look exactly alike but that makes each piece unique.
