Create Something Unique: Join this upcoming Mosaic Workshop
Ready to turn “bits and pieces” into a stunning work of art? Come and enjoy this last workshop before winter sets in for a weekend of creativity and upcycling.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the essential skills needed to create a mosaic on a terracotta garden pot or a flat garden stepping stone. If you already have done a workshop then try an object of your choice – a small table or a vase or even a larger garden pot. Tess will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals, including designing, cutting and shaping “the bits,” and gluing it all together. Bring your own design or use one that Tess will have on site.
For beginners a garden paver is a great way to start and learn the process of creating on a flat surface. Or you might choose a smaller terracotta garden pot to work on to learn the techniques. So come along and be guided step by step to grow your artistic skills and strengthen your ability to create beautiful objects.
Of course one paver or garden pot will lead to many more – let this be the first step in creating a beautiful objects for your garden.
Materials Included: All materials except the bases are supplied as part of the workshop. But you can also bring along some bits and pieces you collected to add a personal touch to your work.This weekend workshop will be about learning the skills needed for creating a beautiful mosaic.
Upcycling Focus: Learn to create beauty from materials being given a “second chance”.
Personal Touch: You are encouraged to bring along loved but broken pieces of your own to incorporate into your design.
Tess Cullen has been creating beautiful mosaics for over 20 years. Tess has taught many people the skills to create beauty from reusable materials.
